IBIS MOJO SL-R

10.5 kilos (23.15 pounds for the old folk) of stiff posh plastic (carbon fibre), just had the first ride.....WOW. Climbed like a hardtail on tarmac, kept traction even on the flinty acents to the downs, only noticed the slack 69 deg head angle on technical twisty acents, but the head angle really helps on the downhill. Very fast, tight and stiff. Slealth matte look with flashes of georgeous powder blue (inside of the chainstays). Cables need to be kept short and tidy, as they make a right racket if they are hitting the frame. Bars also need cutting down if you are riding through the wood on the South Downs, so wide it feels like you are a six year old running round pretending to be an spitfire. So thumbs up for the SL-R, just lacking a pink paint option (sort it out chuck!). Have a chat to Stephen at Prestige Cycles about different build options : http://www.prestige-cycles.co.uk

One of the many stamps out there commemorating sporting achievements, or sporting events. This one is quite unusual, it is in honour of the 7th annual staging of the Tour of Columbia (Vuelta a colombia). Issued in 1957, it is a set of two air mail stamps, printed in Austria. This is the 2c in brown, there is also a 5c in blue. A very fine etching of the rider and bike on an offset diamond shape.

My pink Independent Fabrication

Link
My custom geometry, custom colour Indy Fab. Not one to do things by half measures, it all started with the cranks, then I got to wondering if I could make a complete pink bike? Nearly there, hopefully getting the seatpost and stem anodised this summer.
Slightly worrying results from which is gayer.com, my bike is close to three times gayer than a sailor in chaps!

Recently acquired cycle art.

A new print arrived this week to add to my collection of bike art, a very cheery number printed on heavy duty pink paper (almost card). A collection of some of my favourite things: art, bikes & pink things.

Available from: http://thelittlefriendsofprintmaking.com/oops/

Also picked up the record collector print, thought they would balance each other well on the wall.
